Slack Wax is materials which have changing properties such as having solid state at room temperature while liquefying at higher temperatures. They are produced as a byproduct during the refining process of base oils. It is then refined itself by solvent freezing to produce Slack Wax. They have an oil content of up to 30%. It is used as blending component, waterproofing agent, dust suppressant, feed stock for Paraffin waxes and also in the production of petrolatum and micro-crystalline waxes; production of large candles.
